Detecting Gas Hydrate by Using Reflection Seismic Water Processing Technology in Okinawa Trough, East China Sea

  • Based on the 2D seismic data of the Okinawa Trough in the East China Sea, the method of Seismic Oceanography is introduced to process the water column reflection data. The typical pinnate reflection flow characteristics are found in the processed sections and considered as the evidence of leakage gas hydrate according to the BSR and other abnormalities. This paper shows the method of water column processing technology is feasible and effective in the study of gas hydrate in Okinawa Trough Basin of the East China Sea.
