Comparison and Selection of Offshore Off-Loading Hose Plant

  • The off-loading hose is the channel connecting FPSO and tanker in the production system of all-sea oilfield. If the operation fails or the control system fails, the valve will be closed rapidly, which will cause water hammer and threaten the safety of the off-loading system and the marine environment. Due to the accident, the offshore pipeline of an oilfield was damaged and needs to be replaced again. Three plants of oilfield off-loading hose are compared and studied, and an appropriate configuration plant is selected through hydraulic calculation. HYSYS and PVT Sim software were used to build the fluid package, and OLGA was used to simulate the maximum surge pressure under normal operation and accident conditions of three schemes under four working conditions. It is found that the single hose system consisting of 20-inch hose and 16-inch hose is simple to set up and meets the safety operation requirements of normal and accident conditions at a flow rate of 4500 m3/h. Besides, blasting discs need to be set up to ensure the safety of the off-loading system.
