Development and Application of Demulsifier Synergist to Improve Dehydration Efficiency of Guliulian Heavy Oil

  • With the increase of heavy oil production scale, the problem of oil-water separation is becoming more and more serious. The energy consumption is greatly increased by improving the dehydration temperature. Conventional non-ionic demulsifiers, such as polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene ether are slow in dehydration of heavy oil, and the final dehydration rate is low. By adding demulsifier synergist to improve the dehydration speed and final dehydration rate of demulsifier, the dehydration speed of demulsifier will be greatly increased by more than 1 time at 55 °C, water content of raw oil will be reduced and heating efficiency will be improved under the condition of lower temperature. The dehydration efficiency of Guliulian heavy oil is greatly improved, which meets the field production requirements.
