Study on Structural Optimization of Jacket

  • Different structure layout scheme can be applied to the large comprehensive jacket platforms with water depth of 100 meters. On the horizon level, five or six floors can either satisfy the requirements. In order to check out which scheme is better, the feasibility of two structural forms was demonstrated with the same environmental data and SACS finite element analysis software. Construction stress analysis of the two schemes was performed by contrasting different environmental loads, pile head forces, numbers of tubular joints, structural weights and other critical parameters. The results show that five-floor scheme is better at the amount of steel, force characteristics and the investment.
