Research on Fracture Network Modeling of Volume Fracturing in Shale ⅠArea

  • To solve the problems of low permeability and gas flowing difficulty, numerical simulation for the volume fracturing network was carried out to test the probability of forming network. By analyzing the factors of geology, mechanics and engineering conditions that influence the forming of volume fracturing network, we figure out the optimization parameters of the network in shale Ⅰarea with the method of numerical simulation, which means 200 meters fracture half-length, 10 fracture number, and 10 μm2·cm fracture conductivity. Aiming at the optimization parameters, we calculate the best sanding concentration and the fracture conductivity by means of numerical simulation. The calculated sanding concentration is 4 kg/m3, the main fracture conductivity is 10 μm2·cm and the volume fracture is formed effectively. It is concluded that effective volume fracturing could be conducted and the fracture network could be formed in shale Ⅰ Area.
