Application of Tubing Punching-gas Lift Combination Technology in Pinghu Gas Field

  • The gas well may quit flowing by liquid loading, which will happen when the gas production is below the critical liquid carry-on. According to the ability of the gas lift pump on the offshore platform, the gas injection depth, the gas injection rate and the optimal eyehole size are designed based on the gas lift technology. Tubing punching can be achieved by slickline operation in nonproductive gas wells without gas-lift mandrel. In this way, the tubing and the casing pipe are connected and gas lift can be operated. Consequently, the liquid loading shutdown wells can produce again. The tubing punching-gas lift technology can solve the liquid loading problem in gas wells easily and efficiently, with low operation cost.
