Analysis on Main Controlling Factors of Oil and Gas Accumulation in the Triassic Karamay Formation of Zhongguai Uplift in Junggar Basin

Zhongguai uplift is a large inherited paleo-uplift with complex fault relationships in Junggar Basin. And the reservoirs of the Triassic Karamay Formation are thin interbedded with the features of large oil-bearing and multi-layer oil-bearing. In this article, researches were conducted in the reservoir characteristics, reservoir forming conditions, reservoir controlling factors and other aspects. The analysis shows that:the paleo-uplift is the macro-background of large accumulation in the area; the reservoir is mainly controlled by three factors:paleo-uplift, fault and sedimentary facies. This study can provide a decision-making basis for oil and gas exploration in this area.
