Innovation and Practice of New Operation Mode of Offshore MDR

  • In order to overcome the problems of the offshore MDR(module drilling rig) such as high construction cost, long cycle, equipment and personnel to run-in period, and difficult operation management in the traditional mode of operation, it is necessary to explore a new mode. By rationally allocating personnel and equipment resources, construction of MDR drilling early intervention debugging, the maximum of domestic equipment, coordinate the relationship between the drilling and completion, the oil recovery and workover, a new mode of operation has been proposed and practiced to improve work efficiency and play a better role in the value of existing equipment. Using this model, the drilling and workover operations can be done at the same time in the platform sharing drilling support module (DSM), without interfering with each other and improving work efficiency.Through the on-site application of a platform in Bozhong 28 oilfield, the model has exerted the existing value of equipment, which greatly reduced the overall construction cost of the platform, and the on-site repair ratio was controlled at a lower level. The drilling completion and workover operations can be carried out simultaneously.
