Preliminary Study on the Direction of Remaining Gas Distribution in P1 Gas Reservoir in Pinghu oil and Gas Field

  • After nearly twenty years of exploitation, Pinghu oil and gas field has already entered the late stage of development. As the main gas-producing layer of Pinghu oil and gas field, wells of the P1 gas reservoir have been flooded and shut because of the rapid water flow rate. According to the comprehensive analysis of development and production dynamics, although the development wells are flooded in the P1 gas reservoir, there is still some remaining gas in the gas reservoir. If the potential is found and effectively used, it will have a very positive effect on mitigating the production situation of Pinghu oil and gas field. The article mainly analyzes the source and direction of the effluent of the P1 gas reservoir from various aspects such as earthquakes, geology, and reservoir dynamics. According to the analysis, the water in the P1 gas reservoir is mainly derived from Huagang formation of F2 fault. A large amount of water makes the formation of "waterways" in the gas reservoir, and the residual gas still exists in the B6 well area.
