Application and Evaluation of Micro-fracturing Technique in the Injection Well of Bohai Oilfield

  • Poor reservoir physical properties and excessive content of suspended solids often cause high injection pressure and insufficient injection in the water injection wells. Generally, acidification unblocking is an effective means to solve these problems, but the large workload, high cost, and short valid period limit the widespread use of this technology. In this regard, the micro-fracturing technology (MFT), by using clear water as the fracturing fluid to form micro-fractures near the reservoir to boost yield, provides a new avenue. The MFT is applicable to the water injection wells in which near-well pollution has resulted in the insufficient water injection or the reservoir energy decreased, and is characterized by easy operation, low operation cost and obvious effect. And it can effectively reduce the apparent water absorption index. The good effect has been demonstrated by the application in the wells of Bohai Oilfield, eastern China.
