Comparison and Selection of Offshore Nuclear Power Plant for Bohai Bay

  • Bohai bay is an important part of China offshore oil field development,with great increasing in the demand for power and heat.The offshore energy power generation mode,such as fuel and natural gas,can be constrained due to shortage of fuel.Building offshore nuclear power plant is an effective solution.The scheme comparing principles for offshore nuclear power plant is discussed.Comparisons and evaluations of different platform types have been made,including artificial island,jacket platform,gravity platform,floating platform,mobile platform.Finally,the floating platform and mobile platform are proposed to be used for building offshore nuclear power plant for Bohai bay.
