Detour-Drilling Technique after Conductor Collision

  • When developing offshore field on an ocean jacket by utilizing cluster wells, conductors are often hammered into the sea bed.Deviation occurs frequently in the operation process of the conductors, some conductors even collide with nearby ones, which affect the sequential operation or even lead to the abandonment of the well slots. In the Platform of East China Sea,at wells slot B10 wells, when hammer into the 609.6 mm conductors, the φ609.6 mm conductor collided with conductor in an adjacent wells. The BHA got stuck, can not go on drilling when drill φ444.5 mm section to the conductor shoe.Taking the operation of this well as an example, the detour-drilling technique after the conductor collision is introduced in this paper.
