Study about the Ultimate Bearing Capacity of Offshore Platform with Usfos Nonlinear Analyzing Program

  • Study about the ultimate bearing capacity of offshore platform is an important part of safety assessment on the platform structure. People are paying more and more attention to it. With "KAN TAN 2" jack-up drilling platform as an example, the ultimate bearing capacity of offshore platform was analyzed and the safety performance of the platform in-service was evaluated with the Usfos nonlinear analysis software. The study results indicated that the patform of "KAN TAN 2" is in the most dangerous conditions in the 45° extreme environment. This study can provide a more advanced and accurate method for security risk assessment of the jackup drilling platform in-service, and also has some guiding significance for security risk assessment of the similar offshore platform in the future.
