Discussion on the Environment Influence and Correction Method of the Acoustic Logging Curve in Loose Formation

  • The acoustic velocity logging has become a link between the log data and the seismic data. It is very important to eliminate effectively the influence of borehole environment because the influence of logging environment on sonic logging is very great. In this paper, the discussion is mainly about the influence of borehole environment on acoustic logging, and the correction method for environmental influence, especially the influence of mud immersion. The purpose to do this is to obtain the acoustic velocity of the undisturbed formation.
