Analysis of the Flow Field of Subsea Christmas Tree Based on Fluent Software

  • CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) analysis of flowing field and temperature field has been carried out in the paper. According to the structure characteristics of the subsea christmas tree, the simplified model of the structure of subsea christmas tree body has been established by using average Reynolds equations, namely RANS method. In addition, the steps of CAE analysis of flowing field and temperature field with CFD software Fluent 6.3 version are introduced in detail. The results indicated that the change in pressure and velocity is even in two kinds of work conditions for subsea christmas tree body, and turbulence phenomenon occurs only in the position with variable diameters or right angle bend. The change in temperature is relatively even. The safety and reliability of subsea christmas tree has been ensured through this study, which can provide reference for project engineering.
