Analysis about the Source of Excessive Organochlorine in Externally Transported Crude Oil

  • The volcanic reservoir is complex and variable in lithology, and errors often occur during lithological identification with mud logging data. Therefore, it is necessary to correct lithology with well logging methods. Currently, there are five main methods for lithology identification, including core and slice identification method, seismic method, gravity and magnetic method, logging method, and geochemical method, of which, logging method is the most credible and feasible method to identify and correct lithology. In this paper, the main logging correction methods used for lithology identification are crossplot method and imaging logging method. The correction process includes lithology naming, standardization of logs, establishment of identification plates and lithology correction. We have identified the volcanic reservoirs in the study area based on the above identification process and methods. The identification results are in good agreement with coring data and rock slices identification results. Therefore, for complex reservoir, especially the volcanic reservoirs, logging method is significant for lithology identification and correction.
