Application of Comprehensive Method for Analyzing Interwell Communication in Complex Faulted Block Reservoirs with Distributary Channels

Abstract
Member 3 of Liushagang Formation Reservoir in Weizhou A Oilfeild is a complex faulted block reservoir, with distributary channel sand bodies superimposed and faults well developed, resulting in complexity in connectivity. In order to insure good oil production result by water injection, comprehensive analysis on interwell communication of reservoirs has been conducted with static and dynamic data, such as fine reservoir correlation, seismic description of single sand body, interference well testing, reservoir pressure change and well testing data. The method has been used to explain perfectly the communication of complex faulted block reservoir, which is controlled by sedimentary facies, and the model of interwell communication has been built. Through numerical simulation, the distribution of remaining oil has been predicted, and the measures for exploitation adjustment have been adopted, resulting in good development results of oil field.
