The Formation Mechanism of Gypsiferous Salt and Its Catalytic Effect on Hydrocarbon Generation in Kuqa Depression

  • The formation of gypsiferous salt is the outcome of evaporation and deep brine in Kuqa depression. The existence of gypsiferous salt can help the enrichment, preservation and final evolution of organism. In addition, the formation process of gypsiferous salt can modify greatly the development of reservoir and migration pathway.Through analysis of the chemical composition and the formation process of gypsiferous salt, the associate relationship between hydrocarbon and gypsiferous salt has been made clear, which is significant to analyze the catalytic effect on hydrocarbon and reservoir forming in gypsiferous salt area.
