Application of Integrated Reservoir Prediction Technologies to Bohai W Oilfield

  • The development of Neogene sandstone reservoirs has become an important guarantee for increasing both reserves and production in Bohai oilfield in recent years. These oilfields are mainly fluvial or shallow-water delta facies. The sandstones are characterized by limited distribution, thin single-layer thickness, relatively well developed interbedded mudstones in vertical, and quick physical property change in horizontal. In addition,oil-water interface is controlled by dual factors of structure and lithology border. In order to avoid the risk brought from these factors to oil field development program design, optimization of well location, and especially the implementation of horizontal wells, many integrated technologies have been used in the development of Bohai W oilfield, such as the technologies of fine horizon calibration,high-frequency extension processing,pre-stack multi-parameter simultaneous inversion, and reservoir parameter prediction constrained by attributes.By these technologies, fine reservoir description has been conducted, the reservoir response characteristics, reservoir geometry and intercalated layers development have been understood accurately. In addition, the reservoir physical properties and hydrocarbon bearing conditions have been predicted reliably. The research results of these technologies provide an important guarantee for developing Bohai W oilfield scientifically and efficiently.
