Controlled Phase Processing on Marine Seismic Data——A Case Study of East China Sea

  • To meet the requirement for quantitative seismic data interpretation, the seismic data to be processed should be high resolution, preserve relative amplitude and controlled phase. The controlled phase processing techniques on marine seismic data include deterministic zero-phasing with far field signals,Q compensation, predictive deconvolution, residual phase correction and etc.The operator for zero-phasing plus de-bubble is estimated using a modeled far field signals. The identification methods of phase and polarity of marine seismic data are discussed based on the controlled phase processing.A long gap of more than 24 ms for predictive deconvolution is necessary for keeping the shape of the signature. In addition, the controlled phase processing on the seismic data from East China Sea has been discussed in this paper.
