The Architecture of Unconformity in the Miaoxibei Uplift and Its Effect on Hydrocarbon Accumulation

  • Unconformity plays an important role in oil and gas accumulation. Based on drilling core and logging data from the drilled wells, combined with 3D seismic data, an detailed analysis of the unconformity architecture and its effect on hydrocarbon accumula-tion, unconformity provides migration pathways and accumulation reservoir space for oil and gas migration, forms large-scale oil and gas accumulation in burial hill, at the same time, unconformity plays a "transit station" role in the shallow Neogene hydrocarbon accumulation, forms secondary migration of oil and gas. This paper has a good reference value for other parts unconformity study of Bohai Sea with similar structures.
