Study on Geologic Modeling of Shallow Water Delta Reservoirs in BZ Oilfield
-
Abstract
The shallow water delta reservoirs in Bohai Bay are multi-stage superimposed distributary channel sand body, with rapid lateral change. In addition, the well drilling data are not enough at the early development stage and the seismic data resolution of shallow water delta reservoir is high. Through application of reservoir sedimentology principle, the geological knowledge database has been established by construction of the depositional models, study on sedimentary microfacies, and classification of reservoir structure model and statistic analysis of the parameters for constructing reservoir structure models. Based on those study results, the reservoir parameter models have been established under the constraint of sedimentary microfacies in combination with the seismic data, providing reliable static models for optimization of development plan and tracing while drilling at the early development stage. It has been confirmed by well drilling data and dynamic production data that the 3D quantitative geological model is reliable, and the lateral variation of sand bodies can be predicted accurately with this model. Simultaneously, the 3D geological model can provide support for the study of reservoir at the early development stage.
