New Application and Development of Adding Well Slots Technology

It is very difficulty to redevelop mature oil fields. To make full usage of the old platform's facilities and expand adequate well slots on platform, the adding well slots technology such as plug-in, plug-out and adding piles were researched and developed. However, it is practically rather hard to layout enough slots due to the platform actual conditions and the orientation of workover rig. A new technology, integrated two platform short distance connection and bidirectional-slipping of workover rig is employed to solve above problem. The proposed technique is economical and can be applied to other similar mature field redevelopment project.
