Study on the Adaptability of Multiple Fluid Thermal Recover Technology on Exploration Well Testing

  • Because of high viscosity and poor mobility of heavy oil, it is very difficult to evaluate properly the true reservoir productivity with routine testing. With successful application of Multiple Fluid Thermal Recover Technology to the offshore oil production platform, it is proposed that the Multiple Fluid Thermal Recover Technology be used in exploratory well testing. By analysis of the adaptability of the support platform, the numerical simulation method has been used to predict the production effect of the multiple thermal fluid thermal recovery, to optimize the associated wellhead and supply programs. Through on-site implementation, the daily oil production with the multiple fluid thermal technologies is two times of daily oil production with the conventional cold testing production. The multiple thermal fluid thermal recovery testing can better indicate the actual oilfield productivity, providing a new way for the offshore heavy oilfield testing.
