Identification method of structure traps and its application in low seismic data degree areas:case studies on JZ20-A structure

  • The application of high precision three-dimensional seismic exploration technologies have confirmed the existence of structure traps greatly, and also reduced the risk of drilling. While in those areas which has incomplete 3D coverage and low quality of seismic data, it is difficult to describe the structure traps accurately with current technical methods. According to these difficulties, in this pa-per, four geophysical techniques were synthetically applied such as time slice technology, 2D/3D combined interpretation technology, structure interpretation under the guidance of geological mode and fine structure mapping technology and made good effects in the iden-tification of structure trap in JZ20-A structure, and also obtained good petroleum discovery by drilling. It's proved this set of technolo-gies has certain reference in structure identification for similar areas.
