Comprehensive performance evaluation of a novel corrosion controller used in ASP technology

  • The chemical BH is a phosphorus silicate which could be used to control corrosion in enhancing oil recovery using ASP technology. According to field facts, the basic properties of the ASP system contained chemical BH were studied in lab in this paper. The results show that the chemical BH has good corrosion inhibition effect and flooding system and oil from Bohai oilfield can form super-low interfacial tension. Apparent viscosity of system and stability of interfacial tension is also improved. Pressure conduction and steering profile capability experimental results show that conduction ability of polymer/BH additives and polymer/surfactant/BH additives composite system decrease by 14.2% and 29.5% than polymer solution; steering profile capability increases by 11.8% and 14.9% respectively. While conduction capacity of polymer/surfactant/BH additives composite system is no less than the polymer/ surfactant/NaOH, but its steering profile capability increases by about 10% relatively. It's proved BH corrosion inhibitor not only has good corrosion inhibition and decrease interfacial tension effect, but also has strong ability of steering profile capability.
