Synthesis of multi-hydroxyl polyglucoside inhibitor and its performances in drilling fluids

  • Abstract:Alkyl polyglucosides DTG-1 is synthesized with starch as the main raw materials.The performances of DTG-1, shale inhibition, water activity, toxicity, biodegradable property and its effect on shale membrane efficiency and drilling fluid rheological and filtrating property are studied in laboratory.The results show that DTG-1 can inhibit the expansion and dispersion of shale in water, effectively decrease the water activity and improve shale membrane efficiency.DTG-1 is non-toxic and acceptable for environment provision.DTG-1 can improve the rheological properties of high density drilling fluids.The drilling fluid prepared by DTG-1 has such advantages as simple formulation, easy rheology adjustment, high temperature stability and strong anti-pollution, etc.
