Abstract: Denuded strata are the common phenomena in sedimentary basins. We introduce the main methods, principles, advantages and disadvantages of denuded strata comeback, which can be helpful to the people who just first deal with this field. Methods of denuded strata comeback can be divided into two sorts:traditional and new type denuded strata comeback methods. The former includes strata contrast, sedimentary ratio analysis, vitrinite reflectance, etc.; the latter includes thermal annealing of fission tracks in apatite, depositional and erosional processes, and cosmic genesis nuclide analysis, etc. At last, we point out there is no method can be suitable for each geological environment and research area, we can use different methods to make the outcome to be more precise
