Abstract: Hydrocarbon geochemical prospecting is one of the important methods of hydrocarbon exploration. Haijiao Uplift is an important area of low degree of hydrocarbon exploration that has no well in the East China Sea. In this paper, the offshore surface sediment testing data include absorbed gas component analysis, free gas component analysis, sediment fluorescence analysis, sediment 3-D fluorescence analysis, △C analysis, carbon isotope and light hydrocarbon fingerprinte analysis etc.. Comprehensive research these testing data, geological and geophysical data, geochemical abnormality genetic, geochemical characters, distribution regulation of geochemical abnormality, geochemical indexes association characters and modes of geochemical abnormality have been studied. By studying, hydrocarbon potential, distribution of hydrocarbon, types of hydrocarbon and concentration regulation of hydrocarbon have been analysed and discussed.
