Abstract: The freezing temporary plugging technology has been successfully applied to high pressure gas well, which shortens the operation time, reduces the damage to the production layer and the operating cost. It has great application value in the well repair construction of oil and gas field. Hot tapping is a safe, environmentally friendly, economical and efficient maintenance technology for pipeline in service. Hot tapping & freezing temporary plugging technology also can be used for pressure isolation, maintenance with pressure. This paper analyzes the working conditions of two wells in well A and B, and well A has achieved positive results. The operation of "pressure drilling + freezing temporary plugging" is safe, effective and economical for isolating the pressure, completing the replacement or maintenance of some equipment above the freezing point.The follow-up similar operations can be considered for reference.
