Abstract: In PH oil/gas field, the oil reservoir A is thinner and deeper so that it can't be predicted by normal impedance inversion. In terms of this type of complex reservoir, InverMod is appllied to describe A reservoir distribution and design the development well grid. InverMod is a reservoir description and prediction method under the control of the geological model which is logging data oriented and constrained by seismic data. A reservoir was predicted by InverMod Inversion in PH oil/gas field. These predictions showed the strong heterogeneity and lateral variation of A reservoir. Predicted results is in good accordance with the drilled wells and have a guiding role in exploring potential and well location selection.
